Shruti, a 24 hour radio station dedicated to Carnatic music, is provided by Worldspace Radio and was only available in Asia, Europe and Middle East.
Finally, this has been made available online and we can now listen to it in the US as well!

Shruti has some interesting programmes, such as artist interviews and specials on great artists of the previous as well as current generation. There are listener request shows as well, where we get to hear some popular and rare recordings. It is quite hard to keep a channel dedicated to Carnatic music alone for 24x7, and Shruti is doing a fantastic job at it!

glad to find ur site ..its very interesting.. am a grt fan of Shruthi.. I have worldspace radio at mom's house, but not at my inlaws.. I love 'nagapasana' n 'swarasandhya',.. in KL radio,,4-5 there are cine songs played based on a raga,,..thats also good..

Shruti is no longer available online in the msn server. MSN says that it is being upgraded and will be available in few months

I am not able to get the shruti radio since the last few days. I have been a regular listener and am now much depressed and disappointed despite clicking on the web page and on the site the page displays.
Please help me to listen again. What steps should I take to get back to listening to shruti radio over the net.
